Sheriff Mike Taylor

Sheriff Mike Taylor took his oath of office on January 5th, 2015. Taylor is a law enforcement veteran with 32 years of experience in law enforcement. Of those years, 30 were spent with the Tacoma Washington Police Department.

“Law enforcement is pretty much what I’ve done all my adult life,” he said. “It’s what I do best, and its’ a way for me to give back to a community that’s given so much to me.” Taylor also cited an interest in developing a community-based policing strategy, which would integrate a cooperative approach by deputies and law enforcement in resolving identified community issues.
