Sheriff Angela Brandenburg

Sheriff Angela Brandenburg was sworn into office on January 1st, 2021. She is Clackamas County’s 33rd sheriff since William Livingston Holmes first took up the post in 1845.

Sheriff Brandenburg has served with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years. She is also a veteran who served nine years in the Oregon Army National Guard. During her career at the Sheriff’s Office, Brandenburg has served in a variety of capacities. 

She has worked as a reserve deputy, patrol deputy, civil deputy, patrol sergeant, civil sergeant, and civil commander lieutenant. She spent five years as the public information officer (PIO), and was a member of the Search and Rescue Team along with the SWAT Team.

Before taking over as undersheriff in February 2019, Brandenburg served for five years as the director of A Safe Place Family Justice Center and led CCSO’s Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT).

She won the Office during the May 2019 Clackamas County primary. Angela Brandenburg lives in Molalla with her husband and two children.
